One of the few climbers capable of sending a 9b route may well be a good enough description of Stefano Ghisolfi. Born in Turin in 1993, the CAMP athlete is a star player, with many 9a and 9a+ routes under his belt. He further raised the bar in autumn 2015, freeing Lapsus at Andonno: not only was this his first 9b, but also the first one in Italy altogether. Among his feats we find Demencia senil (9a+) in Margalef, Biographie (9a+) in Céüse and L'attimo (9a) at Covolo in just four attempts (all dating back to 2015). Stefano can climb onsight up to 8b+ and also specialises in competitions, winning 5 consecutive Lead Italian Cups and, most of all, winning at the World Cup. C.A.M.P. has always followed Stefano and saw him grow professionally, sharing his success. He has reached many goals, but success has not altered his unassuming nature, which makes him special, in climbing and in life, as well. If you don’t believe us, go and find out more about him on his web page, or become a fan on his highly popular Facebook and Instagram pages.
