Arnaud Clavel is the ultimate mountaineer. Born in 1972, Arnaud has always lived at the foot of Mont Blanc. Member of the Courmayeur Alpine Guides, he divides his time between the peaks he climbs and his family carpentry, where he works with the passion typical of someone who deeply loves nature. Arnaud is as strong as he is reserved. He has been linked with C.A.M.P. ever since he started, and he is not merely a testimonial, but also a special friend. You will never hear him boast about one ascent or the other, even if it may well be one of the hardest Bonatti routes – on the north face of the Matterhorn or the Grandes Jorasses – or from his exceptional speed ride – 28 hours from the bottom to the roof of Europe and back – along the Peutérey Ridge. Bonatti himself thought that Arnaud was a sort of mountaineering heir, a dreamer who loves adventure, without compromises. Ice-axes and crampons, but not only that: Arnaud is also a top-class climber, and you can find him on the north face of the Eiger as well as at the crag, after he has just onsighted a 7b.
